Faith in God

Evangelist Award-Winning Best-Selling Author Jan F. Whitaker is a 21st-century disciple and a woman after the heart of God. Jan stands firmly on her faith in God and strives daily to walk in His will and ways. Jan is a 3x graduate of Grambling State University.

However, while Jan is thankful to God for the degrees, she says nothing in this world can compare to God's things and what he is doing in her life to help others.

Overcoming Obstacles

Even though God begins speaking to Jan at the age of five, she stated she rejected the idea that God could use her as she thought because of being in a domestic marriage for 20 years, going through cancer, depression, PTSD, the sudden death of a son through suicide, etc. she was not good enough to help lead others to Christ Jesus. Someone else was better equipped for the job. However, GOD had a much better and greater idea and plan for her life.

Jan’s Mission

Jan had to learn through God that whom the SON set FREE is FREE indeed. Jan stands on proverbs 3:5-6 and believes that she can do anything with God in front of her but fail. Jan travels extensively on the mission field, evangelizing, helping children and others across the globe carrying the message God gave her so long ago "God is doing the same things for His people that He did over 2000 years ago.

Community Service

JBWS speaker for Our 2016 4th Annual Festival of Books and Business Extravaganza was the Honorable Lorenz” LO” Walker Mayor of Bossier City, LA. Mayor Walker was a distinguished Military graduate and was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Air Force. After earning his pilot’s wings, he was in the service for thirty (30) years, retiring in 1996 with the rank of Colonel. Jan uses the business (JBWS) JAN'S BOOK-WRITING SERVICES to help our Veterans and Children in her community of Shreveport/Bossier City, LA, by putting together one of the most sought-after yearly Festival of Books and Business extravaganzas across the globe. Jan says it gives her so much joy when helping others as this is her purpose and destiny from God.

Widening the Horizon

Jan went on to coin the phrase "Don't leave what you "LOVE" for what you "LIKE" cause what you "LIKE" will leave you for what it "LOVES." Jan is a member of first Bossier Baptist Church, where she serves in the FBC Military and Hope Cancer Ministries. Jan Pastor/Teacher is Dr. Brad Jurkovick. Jan states she loves her first Bossier family.
